The "Toby Carvery Whitewebbs House" in Enfield, England, is a traditional British pub and restaurant that belongs to the well-known Toby Carvery chain, having made a name for itself as the "Home of the Roast." It is situated amidst a park-like landscape and is housed in a historic building that originally served as a country house, giving the venue a special charm. The restaurant is a popular meeting point for families, friends, and anyone wishing to enjoy British cuisine in its heartiest form, offering a relaxed atmosphere suitable for both everyday visits and special occasions.

Cozy restaurant with garden

The décor of the "Toby Carvery Whitewebbs House" combines rustic charm with modern comfort. Culinarily, the restaurant is all about the carvery, a self-service station where freshly prepared roasts are offered daily. The selection includes slow-cooked meats such as tender beef, juicy turkey, or flavorful gammon, all prepared with special care to achieve maximum flavor depth. An absolute highlight is the "Yorkshire Puddings," which are freshly baked, light, and crispy, and for many, represent the pinnacle of any roast. Additionally, there is a wealth of side dishes, including hand-peeled roast potatoes, prized for their extra crispiness, as well as seasonal vegetables. For variety, the "Loaded Mac & Cheese" is a creative dish that combines creamy cheese with a modern twist. For dessert, the "Sticky Toffee Pudding," a sweet classic, delights with its warm, sticky texture.

Rustic charm modern restaurant

In addition to the carvery, the "Toby Carvery Whitewebbs House" also offers a popular all-you-can-eat breakfast, featuring hearty classics like sausages, bacon, and scrambled eggs, ensuring a vigorous start to the day. The drinks menu is extensive, featuring a selection of beers, including local varieties, as well as wines and hot beverages that perfectly complement the hearty meals. Lovely carvery, the best I've been too. Although I would say they are very stingy on the meat slices, 3 small slices.

Not bad example of a carvery. Food was fine, hot and tasty. Service was a little slow.

Location is great. Vegetables were good and fresh. Meat portions are getting less, 2 slices! Staff need to be trained in customer service.

Great roast with lots of options. It does need a bit of a clean in there but nothing too crazy. Lovely service and the staff are very attentive and caring.

Food was lovely, I would say they are a bit stingy on the meat serving considering you can only have one helping. The sides were all lovely and the kids enjoyed the Mac & cheese. Very busy branch so service a tad slow & car park is packed too. Definitely need to book before hand.

Food was pretty good, usual TC standards. However we queued for the buffet for over half an hour as on a busy Sunday afternoon there was only one person carving the meat. He was doing his best but got no help from the other staff. We did bring this up with a manager and his attitude was awful when dealing with us. He said they had people call in sick that day and was very unapologetic that we had spent the majority of our time there queueing for what is essentially a self serve buffet. I think at one point he just told us "well it is what it is" in a very rude and confrontational way. I appreciate staffing difficulties like this can arise but your managers need to be better trained to deal with this when it happens. There was no attempt at trying to make up for the wait time and the manager honestly seemed like he was trying to find someone to take out his frustrations of the day on.
